We’ve recently completed Phase 1 of a commercial rewire in Cumbrae, upgrading critical infrastructure at the Cumbrae Oysters facility. This project demonstrates our capability in delivering high-quality commercial electrical work, with the same precision and care we apply to every job across Ayrshire and the surrounding areas.

Project Overview

The first phase of the project focused on the essential operational systems — specifically, the tank installations. We rewired seven individual oyster tanks, ensuring each is now fed from its own dedicated distribution board. This not only improves operational efficiency but helps minimise downtime in the event of a fault, reducing risk and disruption to daily business.

What We Delivered

• Full rewire of seven tank systems

• Installed individual distribution boards to isolate faults and improve control

• Fitted high-level containment around the entire perimeter to keep cabling secure, tidy, and future-ready

This phase has greatly enhanced the reliability and safety of the site’s core operations, while also laying the groundwork for future expansion and upgrades.

What’s Next – Phase 2 of the Rewire in Cumbrae

We’ll soon return to complete Phase 2, which includes rewiring all lighting and small power systems throughout the facility. Once completed, the entire electrical infrastructure at Cumbrae Oysters will be fully modernised and compliant with today’s safety standards.
