We recently completed the full electrical installation for this stunning open-plan kitchen and living space, designed and delivered alongside the team at Kitchens by J.S. Geddes.

This project was all about balance — combining clean, modern design with a carefully planned electrical layout that enhances both the look and the day-to-day use of the space.

From the kitchen and central island through to the bespoke media wall and living area, every detail was considered from the outset to create a seamless, high-end finish.

💡 Lighting That Transforms the Space

Lighting plays a central role in open-plan living, and this installation was designed to create a layered, flexible environment.

We installed:

• LED under-cabinet and feature lighting to enhance work surfaces and add depth
• Pendant lighting over the dining area, positioned for symmetry and visual impact
• Integrated lighting within the bespoke media wall, creating a focal point in the living space

The result is a lighting scheme that works just as well for everyday use as it does for relaxing or entertaining.

🔌 Kitchen & Living Area Power Layout

Modern open-plan spaces require thoughtful electrical planning to keep everything functional without compromising the design.

This project included:

• A fully coordinated kitchen and island power layout
• Integrated appliance supplies, neatly concealed within cabinetry
• A matching utility installation, ensuring consistency throughout the home
• Carefully positioned sockets and switches to maintain clean lines across the space

Every circuit was installed with long-term use in mind, supporting both current needs and future upgrades.
