We recently completed the electrical installation for this stunning designer kitchen by Kitchens by J.S. Geddes, and it’s a space that perfectly demonstrates how thoughtful lighting and electrical planning can elevate a modern kitchen.
From the moment the design came together, the focus was on clean lines, dark tones, and carefully layered lighting that enhances both the aesthetic and the functionality of the space.
Lighting That Defines the Design

At the centre of the kitchen sits a striking marble-effect waterfall island, which anchors the entire layout. Vertical slatted detailing adds texture and depth, while a subtle LED underglow beneath the island creates the illusion of it floating above the floor.
Above the island, three perfectly aligned feature pendants provide both symmetry and visual impact. Carefully positioned and balanced with the rest of the lighting scheme, they create a focal point without overpowering the room.
Throughout the kitchen, concealed task lighting ensures the working areas remain bright and practical while maintaining the minimalist design.
A Fully Coordinated Installation

As with all high-end kitchen projects, the goal is to ensure that the electrics work seamlessly with the design. Power supplies, appliance circuits, and lighting positions were all carefully planned to keep the space clean, uncluttered, and highly functional.
The floor tiling, completed by Seamill Ceramics, ties the entire room together and complements the darker tones of the cabinetry and finishes.
The result is a kitchen that feels modern, minimal, and perfectly balanced — where every detail has been considered from the ground up.
